3H-thymidine injection on E15, 2 hr survival
Figure 32 is a coronal slice of an E15 embryo 2 hrs after its mother was injected with 3H‑thymidine. The left part of the slice is anterior to the lumen of the lateral ventricle and through the dense accumulation of cells in the olfactory NEP; on the right, the slice is through the differentiating neurons outside the NEP—many are probably AOB output neurons. A thick bundle of the olfactory/vomeronasal nerve surrounds the forebrain.
